Puffy at the movies
I'm ashamed to say that I kepy Puffy out of his cage for over 24 hours, he was quite happy at first for all the special cuddles he gets, but then later on he got a little restless....and then he was wondering where is his home, and his girls? and then it got dark...and he had to spend a night with me and all he got is a hidey house.
When I was browsing on the internet and checking out some piggy sites, there was this page that had guinea pig wheeking noises, I clicked the page and there were these "whheeeeeeeeeeek wheek wheek wheek!!!" and Puffy IMMEDIATELY lifted his head up and started wheeking back!! It was such a cute moment, lololol. Poor baby, he was separated from his piggy buddies for around 20 hours already and suddenly he hears the familiar wheeks of his kind!! That's like...being stranded on Mars for a month, and then you suddenly hear something like....a human SNEEZE or...SNORE or something...!!!
yeah...then Puffy was absolutely HORRIFIED when he learned that he was going to be watching a movie with me, Toy Story 3D no less. He was most unimpressed, annoyed and exhausted. Although I fed him food and water all this time, I did feel really guilty, and promised myself I'd enver bring him out like that again...<=(. During the movie, he was quite well behaved, but towards the end he couldn't stop bending over to eat his poopy. and even worse...they were super duper mushy poopies><'' er....so when the lights came up at the end, this is what my shirt looked like:
Note how I especailly wore a guinea pig shirt that says "Guinea pigs makes the world a better place", mail ordered all the way from US, Cavymadness.com, although Puffy didn't give a poop, he wants to go home! And he's gonna make himself heard! or smelled................
Anyway, doonn't worry, he was put back to his cage, where he promptly went for a nice long drink:
checked that both his wives haven't left him, especially Shylie, the demanding one *cough*:
"Where were you last night!??"
After Puffy does some explanation and reassuring to his wifey, he went for some yum yum hay!
and later on in the night, he was joined by his wifeys for a nighttime buffet of romaine lettuce and radichio!!
okay, and to end on a hamster note, I caught a cutie pic of Maisy sleeping in her beloved house. These houses were bought from Jen at http://www.pimpmypiggy.homestead.com/, she makes some wonderful crash pads that we all LOVE LOVE LOVE. My dad was mad that I spent like...70 hkd per house on average!! but I think they are totally worth it, look how much my hammies love them
oh, and with the hot summer, I doubled the air freshener in the room, we now have 4: 2 lemons and 2 lavenders
The pigs don't mind them. Please don't use the spraying type, those can be hazardous to your pigs!
Don't try this at home:
So I decided to see how Puffy will do as a watchout! Here he is....feeling on top of the world Well he should, really...what with all that pampering, cages and cozies ordered in from UK, US.....................plus all the attention and love he gets.........
Here he is, balancing himself
Hey! Not a bad view! This is the first time Puffy checks his cage out at bird's eye view. The rainbow photo frames on the wall, I made myself , pigtures of our piggies in there!!
"How do I get off this thing?"
"I need to pee"
lol, look at that face, I think that's exactly what he's thinking
Here I should warn you to NOT put piggies at that height, it can be very dangerous. Puffy has invisible strings keeping him safe
So I got a big scolding for housing 4 pigs in a small a cage, and 2 pigs in a giant cage. Now, the pigs are all *appropriately accomodated*:
Jiffy, Snoopy, Shirley and Snoopy: large 3 x 4 cage
Puffy and Shylie: 2 x 3 cage
although something did happen while I was changing the cages....I put Puffy in with the trio for a few minutes, I didn't think there'd be anything to worry about until 5 minutes I found him and Shirley taking it out on eachother. They were chattering their teeth and Puffy had inflicted a bite wound on our lady!! I took him out before more damamge could be done and blew really hard in his face, that's my punishment. Then...this is what I found on Shirley:
this is the wound, poor girl
this is after I applied aloe vera soothing gel to it....
this is the CULPRIT
he is currently in the isolation chamber doing some self reflection, facing the wall!
This is what it looked like the next morning, healing nicely!
Life goes on
Here is Bug resting in a corner trying to get some sleep. For once, without PJ, lol
oh! PJ comes over to bug BUggy
"yo Bug! wanna play tag??"
"Bugger off PJ...tryin' to nap here"
"why am I called Buggy...??"
I was hoping our pigs will enjoy the new open space and maybe nap in the sunshine. But I forgot how insecure and paranoid they are. Since this is the only grid in their cage without a ceiling, they considered it the dangerous open!! er....so I put half a hammock for some shade. I still want lotsa sunshine hitting that spot!!
This is Buggy checking out this giant pink object
He's annoyed that he can't get to the water inside, so he goes to his original water bottle. And PJ never misses anything new!
Overhead, Puffy and Shylie are now living in a smaller cage. Here they are loving their veggies
Look at that giant woman...
and the four of them havin' a goooood time in the giant cage!! Snowy's not happy now that she needs to babysit 3 little rascals, not to mention one of them wants to hump her sometimes!
This is Puffy and Shylie's love nest. We have....a blue corner cabin that curves in the same way as the platform on top, how stylish. Then there's a cozy companion sak, with a purple cushion on top, so they can nap on top, or inside it. and then....a red chicken patterned tunnel.
and over on the left, we have a piggy hidey house! Beautifully sewn by Jenny over at http://www.pimpmypiggy.homstead.com/,
This is our beauty pig on the second floor in her special cuddle cup, with a hammock over her head of course
"I got on here all by myself!"
Shylie in the corner cabin, aww..big pretty eyes
and she's on the top floor now, see how she fit herself compleley onto the fluffy cushion
She has a downstairs visitor!
OKay now WATCH: Do you see that Puffy is in the PROCESS of POOPING?? Do you see that poopy on his butt? yeah....that's right
omg are you telling me Puffy pooped 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, eight poops all at once??
Bunk bed buddies!!
aww, this is so sweet. When they were first housed together, Shylie didn't let Puffy go near her at all. Now...Puffy loves all the pretty attention he's getting!! Although Shylie still looks just a *little* bit cautious right there;)
Puffy goin' up!
Puffy in the hammock upstairs
A glimpse at their upstairs life. We have Shylie resting comfily in her bed, and Puffy nearby er...smelling the rocks
Do not disturb!
oohh, look at their addition to the cage! a FAN! yes the pigs could reach that if they really wanted to, but I'm not too concerned, since SHylie is probably too terrified, and Puffy too timid to go near it. Besides, the blades of the fan is completely harmless, they are like soft fo
See? I told you they like to lie next to eachother
Heeerree they are
Oh, and sometimes, Shylie likes to admire herself in the mirror
AND, let's see our other 4 pigs
Jiffy thinks this corner spot under the cushion is neat!
Oh dear, here's our mini head-butter Shirley coming through....Jiffy getting ready to make an escape
See, I told you she gets her way. She gets the head-butting moves from her mom
lol, I like how all his leggies are stretched out
Look at how long Jiffy's front legs are! They are fully extended!!
Snoopy likes the privacy of the watermelon house downstairs.
*gasp* I don't know whether this is Shirley or Jiffy!!! I think it's Shirley....
Here's our pair both in the rooting box on lookout for intruders!!!
such as fat SNOWY!
"Hey can I join ya?"
aww, Shirley doesn't like to share.
Oh well, Snowy thinks using the cuddle cup as a pillow is just as good
up: snowy, down: Jiffy
Up: mama, down: daughter
Shirley looking pretty again
This is when I had the water botted lined to to hook them onto the cage, Snoopy was so eager she came right up!
"Hey how am I supposed to drink them upside DOWN??"
Here's Snoopy standing up for hay
Here's Jiffy. I installed a little fan right there so they get a breeze as they eat
Jiffy pops his head out as he eats! I like this photo
"ALL this hay, all mine!"
lol, what is this, the trio campout spot? Poor Snowy might feel a little left out. I do wish to put her back with Shylie and Puffy soon.....Shylie might be alittle snappy to her, but Puffy's always been trying to make friends, at least with girls. with guys...he jsut starts fights and cost me vet bills
Snowy loves her rooting nest. Poor her, though, since this is also where all the piggies end up in when they want to go up or down the stairs, so she's constantly disturbed
Snowy on the bed III made for her
